Tcl/Tk is slow for simulation of large systems
but it can manage their data and results. It can also run from virtually any OS
and even from a CD-Rom, through a network, and is very safe;
so the proposed developpement are :
- Small applications processing data.
- Middle applications for calculations
- Prototyping software

Saber, Quickfield …
|

Saber is a powerful software but is not dedicated
to a specific application or don't have external algorithms;
Tcl/Tk can do it :
- Monte carlo and statistics
- Interface for system parameters
- Interface for Saber
QuickField can be scripted by using Visual Basic or VBA
but Tcl/Tk through the tcom extension is under test to :
- Using an easiest language than Visual Basic
- Taking advantages of algorithms developped for Saber
- Run preparation software on other platforms than Windows
