Overcurrent detection

• Two parallel conductors (DC current).
• Currents in the same direction (nominal 1000 A).
• Position of the Hall effect sensor (+/- 5mm).

• What value of current difference can be detected ?

Using LabelMover we extract the magnetic field values by exporting them in text format. Then we use the internal Convert Fea parameters to csv script, which allows to launch the Sensitivity analysis.

• Answer :

• Absolute mode gives : ≅ 200 A.
• Parametrics mode indicates that the position is twice as influential as long as the current difference does not exceed 200 A.
